Terms of Use

1. Accepting these terms

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Vaylido. By joining the waitlist, creating an account, accepting a trip invitation, or otherwise using Vaylido, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy, Cookie Preferences, and Affiliate Disclosure. If you don't agree, please don't use Vaylido.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to create an account. Please give accurate information, keep your password secure, and let us know right away through our contact form if you believe your account has been used without permission. You're responsible for activity on your account.

One person per account. You may not create accounts using automated means, share your login, or create a new account after we have closed one for breaking these Terms.

3. Early access and pre-launch features

Before public launch, new accounts may be limited and some features may be offered as early access. Early access features may change, be paused, or be removed, and may contain errors. Joining the waitlist does not guarantee an account or any particular feature.

4. What Vaylido does

Vaylido is a planning tool. It helps you organize trips, collaborate with fellow travelers, and get AI-generated suggestions. Vaylido is not a travel agency, airline, hotel, tour operator, or seller of travel, and does not make bookings, hold reservations, or process travel payments on your behalf.

5. AI recommendations

Recommendations, prices, opening hours, travel times, and availability are generated automatically and may be incomplete, out of date, or wrong. AI may also suggest places that have closed or changed.

Always confirm details directly with the provider before booking or traveling, and check official sources for entry requirements, visas, passports, vaccinations, health guidance, and travel advisories. Do not rely on Vaylido for medical, legal, safety, accessibility, or allergy decisions.

Suggestions you receive are for your personal planning. Others may receive similar suggestions, so you do not get exclusive rights to them.

6. Travel risks and your responsibility

Travel involves risks that Vaylido does not control, including weather, natural events, strikes, illness, crime, and changes by airlines, hotels, and other providers. You are responsible for your own travel decisions, documents, insurance, and safety, and for checking that activities are suitable for everyone in your group, including children and travelers with accessibility or dietary needs.

7. Shared trips

Trip organizers decide who to invite and what role each person has. Anyone you invite can see the shared trip details. You're responsible for the content you add to shared trips and for only inviting people you trust. Organizers may remove members or content from their trips. Budget splits and votes in Vaylido are planning aids only and do not create payment obligations between travelers.

8. Acceptable use

When using Vaylido, you agree not to:

• Break the law or violate anyone else's rights, including privacy and intellectual property rights.
• Post content that is harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, misleading, or harmful, or that includes other people's personal information without permission.
• Enter sensitive information such as passport numbers, payment card numbers, or medical records.
• Attempt to access accounts or data that aren't yours, probe or bypass security, or disrupt the service.
• Scrape, copy, or resell Vaylido or its recommendations in bulk, use automated tools to overload it, or use it to build a competing product or train AI models.
• Try to make the AI produce unlawful, dangerous, or deceptive content, or use Vaylido to send spam.

9. Free to use and fair use

Vaylido is free to use. We do not charge you to plan trips. Vaylido may earn commissions from travel partners when you book through partner links, at no extra cost to you.

AI and map features are subject to fair-use limits; they are not unlimited, and we may limit use that is excessive or automated.

10. Third-party services, bookings, and affiliate links

Vaylido links to outside websites, booking partners, and map services such as Google Maps. Those services are run by others, and their own terms and policies apply. Any booking is a contract between you and that provider. We are not responsible for their content, prices, availability, bookings, cancellations, or refunds. Partner booking features are not yet active.

11. Your content

You keep ownership of the content you add to Vaylido, such as trip notes, comments, and messages. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free permission to host, store, copy, display, and process that content only as needed to run, secure, and improve the service for you and the travelers you share it with. This permission ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies other trip members still need or that we must keep by law. You confirm you have the right to share the content you add.

12. Feedback

If you send us ideas or suggestions, we may use them to improve Vaylido without any obligation to you.

13. Our content

The Vaylido name, logo, design, and software belong to Vaylido and are protected by intellectual property laws. We give you a personal, limited, non-transferable permission to use the service for your own travel planning. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, or reuse our brand or software without written permission.

14. Copyright complaints

If you believe content on Vaylido infringes your copyright, send us a notice through our contact form with: your contact details, a description of the work, where the content appears, a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized, a statement under penalty of perjury that your notice is accurate and you are authorized to act, and your physical or electronic signature. We may remove content and close accounts of repeat infringers.

15. Suspension and ending your use

You can stop using Vaylido and request account deletion at any time through our contact form. We may suspend, limit, or close accounts that break these Terms, create legal risk, or put other users or the service at risk, and we may change or discontinue features. Where reasonable, we will give notice. Sections that by their nature should continue (such as ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, and disputes) survive after your use ends.

16. Disclaimers

Vaylido is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We can't guarantee the service will always be error-free, secure, or uninterrupted, or that any trip will go as planned.

17. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Vaylido is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or travel costs, including losses arising from travel plans, bookings with third parties, or reliance on AI recommendations.

Our total liability for any claim relating to Vaylido is limited to the greater of the amount you paid Vaylido in the 12 months before the claim or US $100.

Some places do not allow these limits. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else that cannot be limited by law.

18. Indemnity

To the extent allowed by law, you agree to defend and hold Vaylido harmless from claims, losses, and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your content, your misuse of the service, or your breach of these Terms.

19. Disputes

If you have a concern, please contact us first through our contact form so we can try to resolve it informally. Most concerns can be settled this way within 60 days.

If you live in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or another country whose consumer laws give you rights that cannot be waived, those rights still apply and you may bring claims in the courts where you live.

20. General terms

These Terms, together with the policies they mention, are the entire agreement between you and Vaylido about the service. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Our failure to enforce a term is not a waiver. You may not transfer these Terms without our consent; we may transfer them as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. We are not liable for delays caused by events beyond our reasonable control. We may send notices to the email on your account or within the app. You may use Vaylido only where it is lawful, and not if you are subject to applicable trade sanctions.

21. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll update the date above and notify you by email or in the app before they take effect where required. Continuing to use Vaylido after that means you accept the updated Terms.
